MArietta, Georgia
Construction of East Cobb Park began in 2002, after four years of planning and fundraising by local residents in partnership with the Cobb County Government. It's Perfect for walking dogs, riding bikes, and pretty much anything you can come up with. They have updated all the playground equipment and have maintained it very well. The park features grassy open areas, pavilions, walking trails, creek overlooks, outdoor classrooms, an outdoor stage and a playground. Great for kids of all ages to play and explore. Also pet friendly and strongly loved by everyone in East Cobb. We're sure you'll love it.

This is a brand new playground/greenway along Abernathy Road. The playground equipment is actually large pieces of art, really fun and different. There is also a nice walking trail along the way, nice grassy areas, benches and picnic tables great for a nice picnic, plenty of parking and bathrooms too. Really nice way to spend an afternoon, we highly recommend it.
The Chattahoochee River originates in the southeast corner of Union County, Georgia, in the southern Appalachian Mountains and flows southwest through the Atlanta metropolitan area and ends in Lake Seminole, at the Georgia-Florida border. The river runs for a total distance of about 434 miles. The part of the river we visited was on columns drive. At this location people can hike, swim, bike, or just relax. Tons of people bring their dogs, other will run or walk the extensive trails along the river. Its a very beautiful area with lots to see and appreciate so we highly recommend you plan your visit with your family and friends.
The mill at Roswell was a major objective of General William Sherman's Atlanta Campaign. It was destroyed at that time. After being rebuilt, the mill continued to operate under a variety of owners until the 1970's.Today the mill is a popular tourist attraction because of its nature trails, running paths, and breathtaking sights. You enter through an arch that welcomes you to the park and then immediately walk out onto an overlook. From there you're able to look down upon the fast moving river beneath you and the beautiful bridge that covers it. There are systems of trails on either side of the bridge that lead to the waterfall and even beyond it. This place is especially popular in the summer time when tons of teenagers and families come to swim and swing off ropes into the deeper parts of the river. The mill should definitely be at the top on your list of places to visit.
